Default Nxai Pans - Can we pay park fees at the gate?

We are spending our first night at Khama Rhino Sanctuary so will be driving through Serowe. We then spend a night at Kubu Island followed by a night at South Camp in Nxai Pans. Can we pay for our park fees at Nxai entrance gate? If not can we pay for this in Serowe? Any feedback would be great. Thanks!

You can pay at Nxai Pan NP's Gate!

    Cheers,

Was there the past 2 nights:

    120 Pula per person
    50 Pula per car
165 Pula per person per night for camping
    all pay at gate

Watch out for the 3 loins with 3 cubs that moved into South camp.....they circled us all night long! And no showers...elephants broke the water pipes last night......

    Hi Derik

All waterholes are bone dry except the main waterhole to which they pump water. T4A will call it Nxai waterhole. (none of the smaller ones with numbers 1-7 has water)

Still worth it......a lot of animals(elephant, lion, wildebeest, springbok, gemsbok, zebra, etc, etc.....)

Maybe a bit off topic, but it seems quite dry there... How are the conditions (and he road to south camp) in feb/March?

These video's were shot there in January but I reckon Feb/March could be identical...

Sand was firm because of the rain and the pans slippery...

    Cheers,
    Hans

Hmmmmm, I am not so sure. Driving with a Pajero in the pans? Might need some extra vehicles to help dig out the Pajero

NB.. you must pay cash and take the right amount (they don't keep change there so make sure you have the right notes!)..

One of the vehicles will be towing...more worried about that one!

But I suppose there's always a first for everything

Nxai pans - rather just stay one night at Baines Boabab.

Nxai pans North Camp is way over rated and was truly the low point of our trip to Botswana.
