    Default 3 Provinces 16 December weekend 2012

Sorry but we can not take any more vehicles

Arrival date: Friday the 14th, departure date: Monday the 17th of December.

    Just a few important notes...

    • The convoys will leave latest 8am to start the trails on Saturday & Sunday.
    • Potjie evening will be held on Sunday because Hercules will not be there on Saturday evening.
    • Strafdop list - punishment will be handed out on Saturday evening.
    • Bring and braai Friday night and Saturday night.
    • There are no power points at the camp sites!
    • Closest shop is in Volksrust.
    • Closest fuel is in Volksrust.
    • It can get cold at night so don't be shy with the warm clothes.
    • If you have one of those wind screens or wind deflectors bring it along, just in case the wind blows at night like last year.
    • Bring your own braai grid! There are truck rims for braais or to make a fire in but you are welcome to bring your own portable little braai. Most of us that are going have braai grids so don't go buy one especially.
    • Snacks for the road. We will be on the road most of the day so I suggest you take a lot of snacks and cold drinks especially for the kids.
    • Sun block - always! it gets nice and hot in the daytime.
    • Remember it might rain so bring the appropriate clothes with, you never know what the weather has planned for us.
    • If you have a radio, bring it with.
    • Have fun!

The trailsR180.00 for the 3 Provinces trail, R80.00 for one or both of the shorter, Bobbejaankrans en Tierkloof trail.

Three provinces: (32km long) 5 to 6 hours drive, rated a 3 to 4 and there is a 5 obstacle as well (hell's Hoogte) but you can bypass it.

Bobbejaankrans Trail: It is about 5-6km and takes +/- 2 hours to complete. It has a grading of about 2-3 out of 5 and maybe one spot of 4/5

Tierkloof Trail: (The whole trail contains technical obstacles). It is about 8-9km and takes +/- 2.5 hours to complete. It has a grading of about 2-4 out of 5 and maybe one spot of 5/5 (I agree with the technical obstacles part)

    Accommodation;

Camping is R90.00 for 2 people then R30.00 per person extra.

The camping facilities do not have power but they do have flush toilets and hot water.

    GPS Coordinates: -27.424520, 29.740340

We're in! Two vehicles though, 2 adults camping and one swambo-lite camping
IFS is like a swambo, soft, sexy and expensive!

Apparently I need to make the airplane noises like mommy does when I try to spoon feed you the info..

Don't talk to me about that...the inflatable mattress and duck-feather duvet went on honeymoon with us!
