I don't know how many guys have weekend net access so and early note. With the weather as it currently is Sunday might be off. The wet is great, but not WHILE it's raining. I see from tomorrow it should start clearing up, so there's a good chance that Sunday will be OK!

Grant, pm me your cell so we can touch base when needed.

    Hi guys,

I have a problem with my bakkie. The centre bearing for the propshaft has decided its not playing the game. I am still coming tomorrow but need to take it slightly easy.

Grant, is it the centre bearing itself, or just the rubber cushion around it? If it's just the cushion, pump it full of silicon sealant.

....and don't you already start making excuses

Hi Sakkie, no excuse just evening out the playing field for you guys.
The bearing is noisey but hasnt collapsed 'yet'. The rubber is almost torn out of its mounting. All I get is a bit of vibration on pull off until the prop finds its centre. Priced the bearing and 3 x UJs at Nissan and fell off my chair. 1865+ vat for bearing and 916+ vat each for the UJs. They completely mad. Will go to a propshaft place on Monday to get it sorted. My brother paid about R1300 all in for an exchange complete unit including bearing, UJs and prop for his Isuzu fitted about 2/3 months ago.

You go to Dealer (read Stealers) Nee Boet, you can get the SAME job done for around half the price at a reputable specialist shop, AND get a warranty!

I don't know what the route holds for us. We can kit for a bit of a burn, but I'll play it safe and throw in something to knibble on anyway.

[quote=Bob Lemon;117259]If you drive out of the center, turn left, and first left again. It should point you in the right direction. Some lovely play grounds down in the valley. Have fun. Would love to join you.

Oops, this is from Forest Hills centre.
