Default Black Wattle Bakkie Load for R 375

    Hi All,

A friend of mine is selling black wattle at R 375 per bakkie load delivered in PE area.

I can't speak for the moisture content of the wood but I've bought before and it's the pretty much as wet as all local wattle available.

    Let me know if interested.

So the inevitable has happened, a forum member received absolutely shocking service from the wood guy.

Excuses about non delivery were unacceptable and this behaviour has embarrassed me and will not be tolerated.

I've been informed that a full refund was given and a complimentary load of wood was delivered.

If any other members have experienced similar levels of service please let me know soonest.

Blackwattle is a very nice wood for a campfire and even good for braai. Most locally produced charcoal are made from blackwattle.

Yeah it's just terrible when someone you know does something stupid that brings your reputation into disrepute and then you have to go and apologize publicly for their actions.

Said complimentary load was received yes.....about 33 days after payment

So yes, received. I must however note this wood is INCREDIBLY wet, it is freshly cut, so do not bother with Blitz, you need a gas firestick to start it.

    Default nat hout??

Braai last night was fine but my loads were delivered approx 33 days before yours.

I can't remember the last time I tried blitz. Either gas stick or teabags soaked in parrafin.

The wood was a mixed batch of some dry and some wet. Once the fire's going it's fine to add the wet.
