Tafelkop - Accommodation, 4x4 Route, Mountain biking on Scheepersdraai fruit and wine farm, Montagu
Looks good, bit expensive, but could be a nice place.

Anybody been there lately. Grading and advise for new visitors?

Ian cannot believe you missed this one.
Done it Saturday. Paid Uys senior R150, will never pay R250 for the route even though very nice downhills. Wife says it is better/scarrier than the way down on Babelonstoren lead by none other than you.
Found it interesting however, shorter drive, do it twice and it is a lovely day.![]()

yip @R250 seems to be on the high side, on the otherhand their accomodation in the cottages is very cheap.

Ian the little hill from the top where Neil's wife got slightly tense on the way back to the starting point and the cruiser dented it's running boards.
Tafelkop accommodation I will not use, not been inside but from outside looks like crawly. Camp at Badensfontein about 6 kms away far better option and even formal chalet for 4 @ R600 (R350 t0 R400 for 2) per night rather 100% more attractive. Also Montagu caravan park I can vouch for as good, camping and chalets.
Also nice road over the mountains from Badensfontein. Not technical, ok 4x4 required to prevent damage, but very good birds eye view of the mountains around it.
Then Leewenboschfontein some 50 odd kms away, old Burgers pass and tractor route to do, Leopards view mountain road and another one or two eg wagonwheel 4x4.
Best area with many trails near to it.Done most of them alone due to lack of "friends" enjoying 4x4. So far no need for 2nd party but sure would have liked to have one for backup on most of them.
