Congrats! May you have lots of happy miles..

Brutus, 4.0L FJ Cruiser.
Well done!
scary how similar that looks to mine.. I had to do a double take.
See you in the bush and / or the petrol station![]()
Remains a awesome vehicle
Just some feedback on my purchase.
I have now had the Prado for 1 week exactly. I know it's to early to really draw up a pro's vs cons list but just for the fun of it, i did.
Pros
It drives like a dream. It is super silent. It kinda sounds like there is no engine at all. Of course when you gear down, you can hear the power, but otherwise... sound like im gliding and riding on air.
The aircon is great. Yip... I know it's not why you buy a car, but it takes about 5 - 10 second for it to be completely cold and great to know you can cool the car down in a couple of second as opposed to some other car's aircons. It's still winter, but I can feel summer is coming and the powerful aircon will come in handy.
Love the dash and the interior. I can also see that if you take care of it, it will last many years. It's a 2005 and inspecting it, you will not say that at all.
Cons
The Radio!!! Yip... It's not great. No RDS, No MP3 Support etc etc etc... But once again, you don't buy a car for it's sound... Well atleast I dont. It will definitely be upgraded in the next 3 months. Still searching. But the addition of RDS would have been welcomed. However, it's not a deal breaker at all.
Still undecided about one thing.
The Petrol usage. I am averaging 13.8L/100km. Most of the driving was done in and around town with only about 50km on the highway. So even if it does shoot up to 14.5 - 15.0, I think it will still be okay for me. You have to realise that the 2.1 Ton beast will not move itself. But i'm sure I will give some more feedback with regards to fuel cosumption after a few tanks. Still early days now.
But yeah, all in all, so far so good. It's by far the best vehicle that I have driven in my life.
Now time for some mods.....
Any suggestions![]()

Thats a fine looking vehicle krouxsa. Enjoy it.
4x4s
Ek stem heeltemal saam.
Hy sleep soms in diep sand. EFS or look at Mikem Suspension?
krouxsa, i have the same complaints about the radio... I just bought a little FM transmitter from a local electronics shop (R160) and it works like a treat with my phone / iPod...
there is plenty of space for it as well...
I have used them but found some feedback from the engine that interfered. But as a temporary solution it can work. But im always trying to guess which station im tuned into. So the RDS is really a feature that they realy could have build in. But i also think since the rest of the dash and instrumentals are good looking, the radio must be replaced as well. That tape deck really boggles my mind. Any other car made in 2003 that came out with a tape deck? Haha... Maybe they had to fill the dimensions of the console and that was the best they came up with. Still its a minor. It can be replaced easily.
Ouens.... julle moet duimvashou.
Dealer het my sopas gebel.... Prys bly staan!
Ek het ook so 'n ervaring gehad by een in Gesina. Dealer = Stealer? Geniet. Kyk in nuutste Wegry se hoë kilometer seksie.
Alles is gereel
Ek kry môre of Donderdag die Prado;
Datum van eerste registrasie 17/11/2006
153964 km oppie klok
Bande is Deuler D694 met so 10,000 op so prakties nuut
Kleur - BLOU
Grys leer binne
Totale koste: R250,000.
SWAMBO is so opgewonde soos 'n 5 jarige in 'n lekkergoedwinkel!
Geluk Coenraad! Jy moet hom darem seker eers self ry vir so 'n maand of wat net om seker temaak als is reg?
