    Default Travel Insurance

We are planning a three month safari through Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe later this year. Does anyone have any info. on travel insurance? I have been pointed at T.I.C. (Travel Insurance Consultants) by the AA. Anyone have any experience, good or bad, with these folk. Seems they are underwritten by Europe Assistance, Santam and are ASATA accredited per their brochure.
Tuffstuff will only cover us if we switch all our insurance cover to them which I do not want to do, so they're out of consideration.
    Any advice will be appreciated.

The TUFFSTUFF product will provide cover for medical evacuation/repatriation see TUFFSTUFF Fact File number 8. Furthermore, it provides for the recovery and repatriation of the insured vehicle and its occupants following a medevac, an accident or theft of the insured vehicle while outside the borders of RSA as well as emergency accomodation costs. Please refer to TUFFSTUFF fact files for a comprehensive explanation

After a recent back problem, TIC paid out every single booking paid for in advance for a months holiday in the UK. All ferries , trains, planes, even some accomodation we had no receipt for as we know the owners of a cottage. Admittedly my claim form was 12 pages long but they were thankful for that and paid out with 2 days !!!! It was FNB Card and the small top up extra payment. Well worth it indeed.
There is no task too simple for some people to complicate !

Thank you for the feedback. We will probably go with TIC then.
