    Jds, before you start worrying about editing and raw, I suspect your focus points are still set on "all"

    Set it on centre point and use the "focus and recompose" technique whicb will make your hit rate on in focus pics double.

    The feeding hawk moth pic is well done Meneer under the circumstances.

    Hi Riaan, dankie vir die terugvoering. Hierdie was my eerste probeerslag met 'n mot wat so vinnig beweeg. Ek het my focus op enkel punt, en setting op AI Servo gehad. Ek werk nog aan die focus en recompose, dankie. Dit was 'n lekker oefening gister, en ek is seker met tyd sal dit al hoe beter raak. Die wind het ook bietjie gewaai en dit het die spinnekop foto moeiliker gemaak. groete

    Die tegniese goed met kameras is soos fiets ry, hel moeilik om dit reg te kry maar die reg kry verg oefening. Tyd agter en met die kamera is al wat help.

    Met die mot sou dit beter gewees het om fokus punt te kry en lens op "manual" te sit dink ek- dan druk mens knoppie wanneer die mot in daai fokus area kom, maar jy klink of jy 'n plan het en dis goed.

    Daai kolletjies is geraas (noise) of "sharpening artifacts". Maar as dit sharpening artifacts is, het jy regtig baie te ver gegaan met die sharpening.
    1996 Patrol 4.2SGL with lots of stuff to make it heavier and thus increase traction?

    two leopard sightings i had the privilege of seeing in Kruger , the leopard stalking was 100m outside Mopani camp. i used a Canon 550D and a 55-250mm lens.

    Wow man, I really like this. Those eyes are so intimidating. Great shot, and looks really neat in B&W.

    I was shooting with the 105mm micro lens, the two mating in the road. I just needed to push the shutter speed up. Its a far out full body shot cropped to this size. GF was hogging the big lens hahaha.
