    Cool

My pics are not as great as some of them here but I am also trying.

Pics 1, 2 and 6 were taken long ago with the Sony I had. The second picture was illuminated with a torch. I took it during one of those long nights when Eddie had me an Charmaine doing pyjama drills when he was a baby.

Pics 3, 4 and 5 I took yesterday at the Groenkloof trail with my Canon 350D using my new Tamron 70-300mm lens. I shot in sports mode since I was sitting in the car and did not have a tripot. Pic 5 was taken using the lenses' macro function.

These were all taken in Botswana. The Kudu thought we couldn't see him. He was standing dead still in the bush. Didn't know his butt was showing.

I liked the frown on the little one's face, almost as if asking what we were doing there.

His mom came right up and asked us too. We didn't argue and left.

Botswana has some of the most beautiful sunsets imaginable.

I would just like to add ... It so overwhelming to see such inspiring photographs each taken with intent to capture that moment and a keen eye for for Natures pics ..(even with the constructive and valuable criticism from the professionals - and appreciated) what you all have posted and shared is really awe inspiring and truly beautiful... my fav. thread at the moment

Here's a White Rhino snapped on Sunday at Tala Game Reserve. He was about 10m away.

To the great sea you lost

    Hi

Here are a few photo's from our trip to Botswana in July.

PS can any body identify the snake? It had the shape of a puff adder but not the colour.

All photo's taken with Tokina ATX 80-200 f2.8 and Minolta 7D (except Ihaha sunset and Whatsnake which were with a Minolta 7 and Fuji Reala).

Very nice pics. SAReptiles has a site with lots of pics. See if you can find your snake there. They've also got a Forum running where you can ask. It is an adder, but which one?? Probably a puffadder.

Some pics I took when we were in Baviaanskloof 2 weeks back. I took these with my Nikon D200. I must still go for a proper training course to use the camera to it's full potential....

I have to echo what Girlcub said; there are some amazing photos here. I can't comment on every one, because I wouldn't know what to say, but some of them are really very good. That Ihaha sunset is just incredible, to name one. 8)
