    Default "Ammo" box dimensions

I'm starting to plan the packing system in the Pajero.

I know there are at least two sizes of box, the normal one being 235(h) x 395(w) x 505(l). The other is a taller one, but with smaller horizontal dimensions. Is there a taller version of the "standard" size? I called 4x4 Mega$ and they said no, and Salami Centre weren't sure.

Simon I cant shed much light here, but rather toss in another question? What is a Wolf Pack?? Seems to be a wider flatter version on the "standard" ammo box?

As far as I understand it - a wolfpack is very close to the "standard" ammobox dimensions I posted.

I've just discovered that the layout I had wanted (2x2 standard boxes) doesn't fit into the Pajero - the back of the Pajero is about 10cm too short. I'm not keen on going too much higher (with taller boxes), as the short Irish lass (i.e. swambo) wont be able to get to the fridge.

This link gives the dimensions of some of the various boxes and this one shows the pictures.

I'm probably going to have to go for something slightly shorter and narrower.

Funny how many 'Standard' sizes there are.

I have 2 of the sizes shown in the second picture (509x399x237) as well as 6 'Wolf pack' which is exactly the same size except that it has the higher lid, I'll measure tonight and give some feedback.

The standard size comes with a raised lid, making it about 295 high. I got mine from Safari Centre in Gateway Durban, but the price is quite steep; I think it was R260 each.
So, do you limit yourself to logic? And what about the beauties and glories of the unexplained?
