My sleepwa is ingerig volgens my behoeftes en dis wat die XT140 so lekker maak. Nes n forum lid skryf.

So ek moet alles laat doen!

Waar ry jy nou jou spaarwiel saam?

The National Luna box fits perfectly behind a 90l Fridge.

Dit was as volg.

    4. Ek het die agterste hek afgehaal. Geen bushings daar nie so die ding is gebuckle.

Nou staan ek eers bietjie stil. So kan ek maklik by die nosecone se moere uitkom.

    1. I removed the lid and enclosed the area with alu plate. Forming a long loading bay from the front.
    2. I redid the entire electrical to accomodate solar charging (ctek dual) as well as alternator charging (ctek dual). Added few xtra 12v points and fitted LED strip lights throughtout the trailer.
    3. Built a kitchen on the left wheel arch. Also using the cavity in the wheel arch for pots and pans.
    4. Connected both watertanks together so u only use one tap. Still to fit the pump.

This was what I wanted and fits my needs perfectly

Ek het vandag my HCDP paneel gekry.

Fotos sal volg.

Have any of you added a second battery to your XT140?

I am in the process of having a second stainless steel box made for a second battery. My plan is to cut the floor out next to the existing box on the opposite side to avoid the hand break cable. I will then insert the second battery and wire accordingly.

Having a friend make this box for me for a mere R500. I think it will add huge value for me...

    Hi Donlux

I just fitted a Brad Harrison plug outside the original box where I slide a battery box in and connect it when necessary. No serious modifications we necessary and the battery box can be used in other applications.

Bear in mind that the XT140, like many other trailers, is already too nose heavy. A deep cycle 105Ah weighs around 30kg.

    I agree with Afdak.
The XT140 is noseheavy. Great idea to dulicate the battery housing though.
May I ask why you would need another battery? I have a 105Ah battery and 150watt solar panel. I have never had the battery go flat. Drawing a fridge, waterpump and LED lights.
What is your plan with the second battery?

Piemansa, hoe kom daai trailer aan? Komaan ons is nuuskierig.

Good day Gentlemen. I want to connect both my tanks together which would be pretty simple. Then I want to install a water pump. Anyone done this? Which pump did you use and where did you mount it?

    Thanks

    Hi Arij

Yes I have done this. I used a pressure pump like this one

    https://4x4direct.co.za/other-useful...704255263.html

I mounted it in the left hand side mudguard container, right at the bottom. The water gravity feeds from the tank then gets pressurred by the pump.
I done away with the right hand tap and only use the one on the left.

I did however put in a gas geyser, so the pump pushes the water through the geyser then out.

    Nice upgrade.

    Default Re: X140 customizing.......

Uiteindelik n update.

    2. Kragdraad op my bakkie.
    3. LED ligte aanl.
    4. Die tentpale is skewer as n dronk bouer sonder n plumbline se mure. So ons moet dit vervang.
    6. n Agter laai by Greg laat maak.
