    Default Buffelspoort in September.

The interest created by the Trip report of Spike and others has had my phone and e mail humming with requests to drive this trail.

I am in the process of finalising a date in September with the farm in order to bring a group of 4x4 community and Land Cruiser Club guys/girls through this fantastic route. Once confirmed I will confirm pricing etc.

If you are interested in joining us please respond to this posting or directly to me on [email protected] and I will put you on the list.

    Yes please

(I can be persuaded to possibly maybe perhaps cancel going if it means I'm robbing someone of an opportunity to go)

The Buffelspoort outing is confirmed as 7-9 September.

We will meet at the Engen 1 stop (Winelands) on the N1 at 1230 on Friday the 7th September for a 1300 departure.

The route there will be confirmed prior to departure and we should arrive at camp arond 1800. Set camp, big fire, braai. Facilities are a flush toilet with a bath but don't bank on the bath having warm water. The camp area is grassed.

Saturday morning we will meet at 0900 for a 10 minute briefing then depart through the Poort stopping on route for a picnic lunch. We should finish the route at around 1700. Here there are full ablution facilities, braai area, and grass to pitch camp on.

Sunday morning we will depart at 0900 after a short briefing and drive one of the routes on the farm. On completion hereof we will depart the farm on a route to be decided, stopping on our way to Montagu for a picnic lunch. We should be home around 1800.

Sincere request : Please... no drinking and driving!!!!

Costs : The Poort plus the route on Sunday including camping R500 per vehicle.

I will supply banking details tomorrow morning.

Only 10 vehicles can be accommodated on this outing

I started typing to put my name down, but then reconsidered and thought I first need to stock up on the camping equipment...

Guys this is an opportunity of a lifetime. This will change your outlook on trails, and pisswilly weekend play days will never be the same again.

I'm willing to take my name off the list if it means making space for a keen participant.

And as far as camping equipment is concerned you need a tent and bedding. That's it. Easy to buy or borrow.

Judging from what I just read at KroozerKlub there's only one or two spaces available. Pull finger if you want in, or at least get on the stand-by list.

Right guys and girls the trip is now full however I need confirmation that you definitely are coming as I am sure that there will be a waiting list.

Please be so kind as to post just a "confirmed" notice so that I can complete my preparations.

Please consider this as urgent as I am leaving next week for a 12 day Wild Coast Tour with a group of BMW motor cycles and want to confirm everything before hand.

    Thanks guys!

I'm having a problem being available to go on the trail.

If anyone wants my place on the trail put your name down urgently. It's a trail of a lifetime.

I'm posting this at the Cruiser club as well.
