Wow, this trail just impresses me more every time I hear or see more about it. Halfjob, in that photo it looks like you were only prevented from tipping over by the vegetation next to the road! Any damage?

Robert, I think you passed me in Ashton on your way home on Sunday afternoon. I knew I'd seen the Cruiser with the big takkie on the roof on the forum, but couldn't remember whose it was...

Yeah I remember that hole. Came without warning. I got a big skrik and hit my head against the door there as well.

Incidently I see the ground is dry and sandy. It was all water and mud there last time. Amazing how quick conditions change.

no no damage at all,in fact i was going really slowly and it just tipped to the point where you could feel it balancing,i then calmly put my hand through the window and pushed it back onto the other two wheels.but i did skrik when both the front and back wheel lifted off because it then stops dead and the engine revs a bit cause there is no traction at all unless the difflock was engaged

Amazing how calmly one can sometimes act in the weirdest situations... Who was quick enough to take the photo?

In May when we went through , one of the locals ( Lootie, Disco) was standing next to it to make sure we went through that dip, like a fool I still accelerated, I nearly chucked my bakkie over , it was scary. I also got some awesome photo's there of a couple of Fords on the brink of tetering over including Mark's from LA Sport. will post it later.

Nearly got Low Level Control and Remand from the Missus for that trick, in other words a smack on the ear.

Ashley when it's dry can you see that dip?
When we did it we were splooshing through water and then suddenly leaning over without warning.

    Hi Spike

Yes he was standing next to it , if I recall the normal track goes left around it, what is a bit puzzling is that halfjob said it was before the carwash, I remember it as after and near the cliffs, but I will post the photo's tonite.

That's good news Halfjob, I am having mine done on Thursday before the big trek up North to Namibia. You are right about all the water crossings and bumps you don't actually know where you are. It does look a lot drier on my photo's Spike
