Nope. Unfortunately that is all I have at the moment. And also I am not speculating on any specs.

That front fender doesn't look round & the front end bit isn't flush. It doesn't look right.

What happens when you park an Arctic Truck on the premises of a Motorhome company?

Well, you get an awesome 4x4 you can live in!

In 2012 Arctic Trucks SA built the first Arctic Amarok prototype in the world.

They have built quite a bit more of them since. This prototype was sitting in the shop after having done various shows etc.

So an idea was born... And this was the result:

Perfect for game watching:

All the necessities inside:

Roof popped and windows open:

I believe it will be at the Beeld Outdoor Show this weekend.

Actually it looks quite good in the flesh. It's on show at the Beeld Outdoor Show. Sold yesterday already.

(It's my first time at this show - don't know where to look.

It looks like they are still battling to get the fender profile right. Same with the Pajero they did.

Owen I am a journo who happens to live in the Garden Route. The only motor co. close to me is Arctic Trucks, so I have a special interest there. I like the look, I like the trucks and I love driving them. So maybe more of my posts on this forum will be of AT because I see them often and this is a 4x4 forum.

I also posted a lot about the Trailblazer when I had one and will post about the DC Land Cruiser when I get that. I currently have an Infinty EX and a Volvo V40, but this being a 4x4 forum I'm not posting about those.

Note that I am not writing edited articles etc, just posting as I go along. I have access to these vehicles and thought some on the forum might find the pics and info interesting. It's not stuff you see everyday.

The living unit on the back of the Amarok is not model specific. That can be built onto any 4x4 vehicle. On Saturday 4 people ordered units like that for Land Cruizer bakkies. Should be interesting to see what that looks like.

(maybe the 4x4 motorhome pics should be on their own thread and not AT?)

I can understand that, but I thought that AT modifies more vehicles - not only VW.

I saw that amarok single cab arctic truck in Sedgefiel over december and must saw i didnt like it all all, the wheel arches is out of ratio in conjunction of the wheel and it wasnt so high off the ground as i would have thought.

Amazing how different people look at things. For some appearance and looks are most important - for others the functionality and ability is the number one concideration. I suppose it all boils down to what your reason would be to buy something like this. In other words - are you actually going to use it for the purpose it was designed for -or for the status (looks?) that is associated with it?

I like the idea of the truck and motorhome combination. Sure, they can refine it a bit (as I am sure they will).

Yes Bogaards that was the first one I did. Was quite a while back though. If you saw it it must have been in some newspaper?

Just saw this on FB - Arctic Amarok is going to visit the Voetspore Amarok team. 8)

I've been at their premisis in the last week. Some changes have been made to simplify the conversion process.

Arctic Trucks now do Arctic conversions to Amarok / Hilux / Navara for R 99 900-00 VAT incl. and conversions are now done in Gauteng so they no longer transport the vehicles down to Knysna. The also have an Arctic Africa conversion that includes extras like long range tanks etc.
