Looks nice indeed! Is it a real Arctic Truck? No logo on the mud-flaps... Possible that the badge on the mid-left of the tailgate is though?

How they're built - lot more than just "big wheels & flares":

Hi Guys here is my Question :

Do it need to be a brand new Hilux or can it be secondhand?
Does toyota arrange it for u or do u need to aproach Arctic trucks themselfs?

Swambo said I can get one as long as its a toyota.
And its time for new wheels.

Wonder if the one on Auto trader is still availible.

hmmmm... you could probably get away with a 2nd hand build, but I would strongly recommend that you contact them directly (www.arctictrucks.co.za) - they may have dealerships that they prefer to work through or who have done it before (Pta Noord Toyota perhaps, looking at the stickers of some of the exampls on this thread?). They should then be able to check the vehicle first to make sure there are no warranty issues and take care of the process.

No idea on costs - get hold of them directly and let us know

    Excitement?
Has all been done by Delta4x4.
And they won the European off-road design award for the Amarok.
But the best is you can drive the Delta like a normal car!

Very, VERY nice indeed... BUT, are they available in South Africa?

ALSO, they only make a body lift kit - there are no changes to the suspension itself 9from a glance at the brochure), nor do they deal with issues of the larger tyres such as speedo calibration etc.

There is no denying that the kits look good (especially the T6 Ranger... Droooooll..... see brochure attached) but is it the Full Monty?

Enquiring about doing a Prado 150 AT35 conversion I received a prompt response from Artic Truck's Chairman, Emil Grimmson; and subsequently from Tony Stone from Travelstar (AT's local representation I believe).
I met with Tony at the Beeld Show this year and found him eager to assist and very approachable. With local representation now in place I believe more and more folks will be opting for these conversions. I suggest you send your enquiries to him if interested [email protected].

Tony had a Hilux and a Navara on the floor at the Beeldt show... beautiful.
The modifications were done so well that one would say these vehicles were made this way at the factory. No "aftermarket feel" whatsoever, fantastic product.

Less than a range rover evoque. Definitley an option...

On the other hand, if you want a real 4x4 - a rubicon with 35" tyres, upgraded bumpers and a 3 or 4" lift kit is still less than a standard twintub...
