Default Viewing Threads - is there an easy way?

There are some very active forum members that post new threads/post replies in a multitude of threads that are active at the same time.
Is there an easy way to track responses to threads you've started or replies that you've posted in existing threads without having to go back to each one and scanning them

hit post reply (advanced) and at the bottom , choose subsribe.

the first post after yours will send you an email, but you won't get anymore (even if 10 people repond indignantly to your suggestions) until you viusit the thread again.

keeps on like that until you unsubscribe...

Or on old thread you can look at the top of the first post under "Thread tools" and subscribe there to any topic/fred you want

If you want to be absolutely on top of things when they happen, as they happen:

Once you are logged in, simply hit "New Posts" and you will only see threads that you haven't read yet, not categories. Every time you hit New Posts after that, it will refresh with any updates since you last checked.
