Default Lister Engine Rebuild/Restoration help needed

Gentleman, I'm looking for someone that's willing to take over one of my many projects.

I have a Lister SL2, 2 Cylinder Diesel Engine that needs to be re-assembled/restored.

So if you want to, or know of someone that likes to do this sort of thing let me know. Of course renumeration for the work will be discussed.

Story of the Engine is, about 14 - 18 years ago it developed a knock, got taken of the water pump at the farm, was send to the barn, stripped to see what's the damage, and that's where it stood for the next 10 - 14 years, where I found it, dragged it home, stripped it even further, repainted some parts, put some other parts in the alkaline baths to get rid of rust, bought any and all needed parts/overhaul kits/gaskets/pistons/bearings, etc, and that's where it stood for the next 4 years, and now this thread.

So in short, I'm looking for a budding hobbyist engine rebuilder/ old toppie on pension looking for something to do, to rebuild my Engine, and get it to running order again. I will pay for work done, parts needed, bribes, whatever.

As far as I know, I have everything, including a handfull of rebuild manuals I bought for this specific engine. The thing just needs to be re-assembled.

Anyone have a line on someone that might be interested in doing something like this ?

Rudolph, thanks, but as can be read in my first post, I already have everything, I just need someone to re-assemble, paint and get the thing to work.

It'll be a bit different than what you had to do on your landy's engine. For example, this one works with Injectors and injection pumps, not distributors and spark plugs

PM, me an E-Mail addy, I'll send you a couple of pics, and you can see if it's something you want to get into.

It's been standing for close to 2 decades already, I don't think another couple of months is going to make much difference.

If you want to, you can PM me your E-mail addy, and I'll also send you some Pics to see if it's something you want to get into.
