Jack Daniels, all the gold medals (think i have all of them) and single barrel, black bottle, etc.

Brandy, uhm lots, potstils etc.- can make a list but it will take some time

wine, just over 300 bottles of red, anything from the 80's - current. (hiding them in a small cellar under the house)

absinth collection still growing. have about 5 or 6 that i've collected from overseas and one local

I reckon Gumtree and such. Might also be worth contacting an auction house if he as some rare whiskey's. Also on 4x4Community.........from what I have read, there are a lot of forum members that seriously like a dop

and how long do you have to keep them for to be considered a "collection"?
or is "collection" just a fancy work for "many"?

Got to agree with Apoc. Tried to start a collections of whiskies. Has all the Jameson's and Glenfiddich's (up to 21yr) and a couple others

However nice they looked in the bar, they were much better in the stomach!

Recently bought some old wines from an auction at work.

Decent red wines from Nederburg was selling for R3.99 per bottle in the 70's.

Pottie, do red wines cost more than that today ? Surely not…..

    @ Stretch

You might think you have an impressive collection of Jack Daniels, but have you met Mr Jack Daniels (Johan Torien) @ Eagles Nest on the West Coast. How about a bottle made in 1904? They fly this gent to JD's head office when-ever they launch something new. His collection has to be seen to be believed. His collection includes a JD original biker jacket.

Reviving this topic. We are down sizing and I have a collection of red wines totaling +/- 1,000. Is there any interest out there for acquiring or do you know of anybody that deals in wine? Thanx so much.
