I've been trying to phone that number Spike posted on the first page for the last two days, but either the guy's phone is off, or he's constantly in a spot where there's no reception. I'll keep on trying - also saw that on the SA4x4 Magazine's website there is a number for the trail. Will keep on trying...

...okay, just spoke to Theuns. He's on a hunting trip at the moment and asked that I give him a call back on Monday. At first he said the trail is closed as it stretches over three farms and the guy in the middle pulled out. Then I asked him if he knows Spike and he said yes, you guys did only the bit on his farm. Its then that he said I should give him a ring on Monday, so at least it seems there's hope to do the section on his farm again..

Luckily that's the real McCoy bit. It's sad about losing the rest of it, but it was the scenic drive part, not the hard-core.
