I'm acutely aware of this, the plan was to move the forum a week ago already, but I have just been too busy at work, but it is in planning for within the next week.

It seems that mySQL runs at a lower priority than the other processes, and often it times out, I have tried but hav'nt been able to set mySQL to runs at the highest priority, it is a live hosting environment, so I cannot mess too much with the server to test.

At the moment the web statistics solution brings mySQL down, so I have now stopped it, and will most probably reactivate it at 11 tonight till 8 tomorrow morning.

But don't worry the moment the forum is moved these issues will be gone.

It works prettty well, except for the task priority problem, other than that no problems. Our ASP/PHP, mySQL/MSSQL installations seems pretty happy next to each other. We have never moved to linux based hosting as all the internal development skill is all windows based, so all our sites are based on asp/asp.net and mssql.

You will have to be patient a bit longer I am waiting for RAM to arrive fom Dell from server, expecting it this week still. Hopefully before Friday so that I can arrange installation during the weekend. i am pretty confident that it will sort out the speed issue. We are doubling for now due to high cost, if it improve but not enough then I will order more, but I cannot just throw cash at this[problem without guaranteed results. The other option is to move it to our London based server at Rackspace but I still need to test that.
