I heard that half that trail closed down. I may be getting mixed up with Leeuwenboschfontein.

If you don't come right you can always try MontEco which is VERY nice.

I took a look at their website the other day. Seems like one would need a holiday to have enough time to do everything they offer...!

First trail I ever did, and one of my favourites. The "ratel" is one scary section, too narrow to keep both wheels on the trail, so you have to climb the rocky face on the right, with a deep ravine on the left. Several other nailbiters there too. I would love to do it again - it's the trail that got both me and Molly hooked on 4x4-ing.

Ideally you need more than one day, as there are several different trail options. Well, that's if they're all still open...

These were the early days - note the empty passenger seat... Molly still preferred to rather play photographer!

We were there for 4 days, but you can do Montague to Monteco, and do the Knife Edge and back easily in a day

    Werner,

Wagon Wheel is a very nice trail, I hope it is still open, would not mind doing it again. The fact that there was a windshield lying at the bottom of that section Charl refers to did not make it easier, me he he.

If Wagon Wheel is not an option, maybe someone has the details for Waboomsberg if that is still open ? Also a very nice Montagu trail.
