    R495 is Bed and breakfast.

R695 for two if you share a room, thats getting more affordable and possible if you get a room with two seperate beds.

Here's the nice part, arrive late afternoon on a winters day, nice fire in the pub, lekker oxtail or steak egg and strips for supper, couple of drinkie poo's, relax, lekker hot bath or shower and a warm bed.

Maybe we can get a discount, I will phone on Monday.
    Cheers

No, it won't be more than R150 per person per night.

The Saturday night will probably be only R100per person.

But let's wait for BosveldTV to confirm the prices before you go and book other, expensive, places...

If I'm being towed I like to keep to the same speed as the towing vehicle
Otherwise if I'm using my own fuel I stick to the speed limits
    But fully loaded-110km/h uphill

110 is a good speed for older Landies, seems to be comfortable for the truck...
But I will obviously do convoy procedure, nothing worse that bad convoy drivers who think they have something to prove...

Is there any progress on this trip?
    Is it still happening?
    Where we staying?
I'm going in the 90, I need to know how much oil to take.

Yes we are definitely still going!

As far as I know BosveldTV is waiting for confirmation from the two overnight places before he posts the details.
Friday night should cost R150 per person, and Saturday night about R100 per person.
I think the Fridaynight accommodation is already confirmed. Can't remember exactly where now, but I'm sure BosveldTV will enlighten us all real soon

Well I will be there on Friday afternoon 25th and staying at Green Lantern that night.

If nobody else arrives I will just have a lekker steak next to the fire, a couple of cold ones, get a good nights sleep, and drive home the next day on all the side roads I can find back down the mountain.

    Default Costs

    Hi ALL ,
I will post a detailed trip plan and camping facilities detail by late FRiday Afternoon ,and some suggestions on waht to bring , own bedding ect ,
The 25 May - R150 per person RUSTIC no frills no spills ,as per pics of camp
26 May - R100 for morning trip ,per vehicle
26 May and 27 May Accomodation per person is R80 for the Saturday night ,
26 May and 27 May Trip is R100 per vehicle ,this is for both days , so you do not pay another R100 for Sunday again ,

So for your vehicle you pay R200 for all the routes ,
And then you must work out the accommodation ,

All places are rustic , camp sites , with fire places ect , pics to follow for Kerkenberg Camp ,
