Some coincidences are amazing. We were camping up the north coast recently and helped an elderly couple who's Landy had let them down in Matuba. They're from that part of the world, we asked them for recommendations of decent camping as a transit spot, they recommended Voetpadkloof - the first time we'd heard about it. Now here it is again. I think it's a sign.

Cant recall seeing the crocs signage, but they still warn you not to put any bodyparts in the river. There are however "no cuddling/geen vryery" signs at the hot water pools, had a good laugh.

It was our first tiime camping there, and i would go back anytime!
We also laughed at the crocodile sign....untill the next morning when my neighbour spotted it. Big enough to kill an adult. It is there! We spotted it intermittedly all of the Saturday. Sunday it was gone again. I waded in that water 2 hours before we spotted it the first time...

Gaan bietjie rustic kamp van Vrydag tot Maandag op 'n plaas in Gouda / Tulbagh omgewing. Die juweel plekkies raak skaars so ek hou dit maar stil anders kry ek nie meer plek nie....

Heading for Baviaans this coming weekend. Left PE on Friday, did Bastervoet on Saturday, Lundean's Neck yesterday, with the plan being to enter Lesotho at Telle Bridge. BORDER POST CLOSED!!

Was redirected to Van Rooyens, but that was just too far out of our planned route.

Some pics to date. Will post some more of the camp at Duiwekloof.

I never knew that there was a campsite there, at the end of the promenade, right on the beach. Went for a visit through town last month. One of the gem towns on the West Coast! Bonus is that there are no local townships close by = low crime rate.

Only municipal campsite we regularly visit. Rules are still being enforced...or let me rather say we never had any real issues with drunk and unruly campers or theft while camping there.

Roratau Bushcamp, what appears to be our last . Since we booked the upcoming weekend we again tried for another and were told no more under 12 kids allowed (under 12 IIRC).

    Sad, very sad indeed.

I need to find another campsite close to the Lion Sanctuary.....
