I'm going to Ezemvelo just outside of Dronkwordspruit . Never been there, hopefully its a nice place to be and the weather plays along.

We went to Buffelspoort. My first time there, and my first time at a "resort" camping. It was fantastic! a Bit commercialized for me but the kids had a jol!

Would like to go to a bush camp with nothing, no power, communal lights or stuff, just well mantained ablusions and a pool for the kids. Warmbaths, Nylstroom area. Any ideas?

Nice facilities and plenty of game.

Only 40 min from Pretoria.

Just got back from Ezemvelo.

Well, I can tell you that if you are looking for a place with no frill and that hasn't been commercialized then Ezemvelo is for you.

Stands have electricity and the ablutions are ok, not the best I've seen but also not the worst. There is a swimming pool and a dam for those interested in fishing and that's it. They have horseback rides and there is plenty of game on the reserve when u drive around.

Went on a night game drive (only R70 p.p) which was really cool and saw plenty game!

Camping incl. electricity is R70 p.p.p.n

What a great weekend! Dube is also high on my list of places to try.

mabalingwe, ask for the 4x4camp... never been to the site, but I have heard that it is good, no power/water ect, you have to be fully self sufficient. camp site has a pool and all the nice to haves and it is just outside warmbaths.
also a not to bad 4x4 trail..

A well run place in the waterburg near Ellisras run by Herman and Dawn out the way is Grootwater also refered to Poer se Loop. www.grootwater.co.za There are 4x4 trails of varying difficulty. Although they allow quads when we were there the owner had strict control. Some sites have power and the oblutions are spotless.

Heinz, if u find out what the name of that aluminum setup is that you put together please let me know. Just a question, can u only do frames with it or is there a way to attach alu plates to it?

Brandon, best site at pilansberg is Bakgatla and go the non electrified sites. Much nicer than electrified - bigger and grassier and not as busy. We prefer Bakgatla in the summer as it has a huge pool with a lawned area around it whereas the one at Manyane is paved and right by the restaurant.
