Pitched our tent this afternoon for a weekend of camping at Jamaka in the Cederberg. The moon is so bright it looks like the sun rising. Needles to say, we wonít be visiting the observatory this weekend. A wine tasting will however be on the itinerary.

Marakele, expecting lots of rain, no issue...have lots of electrickery to fiddle with. And some decent wine + steaks

Can confirm, only the wine tasting was to be enjoyed. What helped was that we got to taste 17 wines in total. Bought a bottle or two. Wind was hectic at camp during the night though.

You're not wanting to part with that RTT to a fellow camper willing to climb the ladder by any chance

The no music is the best thing about that place. The new owners are putting a lot of effort into the maintenance. Loved it. Glad you enjoyed it

Enjoyed a lekker thunderstorm Friday afternoon...

Enjoyed the game walking freely through the camp, Wildebeest grazing 5m from our setup early evening.

Pity those Sotho speaking guys that camped 200m from us had no clue how to lower their voices below 120 decibels....

Dungbeetle - terribly sorry to hear about the load-mouths - always disruptive to one's weekend away...

We are heading that way next weekend - so hopefully we will, as per previous times, have a great stay...

Try to get the most western site, next to the reserved for disabled spots, no real shade but the animals come graze there
