Chris the stands are more than big enough. I could easily have put up my rear tent on the Xplorer if needed.
The ablution facilities are not private for each campsite. There are ablution blocks for each campsite area. They were top notch and cleaned regularly throughout the day. No problem with water supply or pressure.
I'll definitely go back to the resort.

Travelling from Durban to the Richtersveld, leaving on Thursday 24 December. Overnight at Glen Reenen at Golden Gate, then long drive on Christmas Day to Monate campsite at Upington, then overnighting again at Brandkaros near Alex Bay, before heading to De Hoop campsite for 4 nights.

We are camping at Shingwedzi until Sunday, then moving to Tsendze for 3 nights.Good rain over most of the park last night and this morning. I have never seen the Shingwedzi river run so strong and wide as early this morning. Small streams in flood and lots of standing water in the bush. Lovely after yesterday's unbearable heat.

I envy, have to wait until April for our next KNP trip. Good to see many areas getting good rains. Quick question, I heard campsites at Shingwedzi are now demarcated. Is this true and do they allocate specific sites when booking in? I know there is a difference between perimeter camps and the rest.

    Thanks

Frans, yes they are demarcated, but honestly in some spots it is really hard to tell exactly where the boundaries of a specific site lies. Each site seems to have a number, but people still just camp where they want or can find shade. They don't allocate sites, thank goodness.

    Self isolation camping

We arrived at Waterberg Wilderness Reserve yesterday for 9 nights. Our first time at WWR, what a place, no wonder it is rated at 4.9 / 5.

Had quite a heavy downpour as we started to set up camp, but boy the sunset afterwards was just spectacular.

Lots to explore still, MTB as well as 4x4. We will no doubt tackle the local Van Zylís pass as well
