Just returned from a most memorable weekend at Seekoeigat with the Land Rover Owners Club. One of the most beautiful camp sites I have been to. On the river bank; neatly grassed; lots of shady tress; amazing birdlife.

    Default De Voetpadkloof

Going to De Voetpadkloof Resort (40 km north of Middelburg) for couple of days. Taking our Metalian off-road, albeit only the 3.1km gravel access road.

Breakfast then off to Monateng Safari Lodge for couple of nights. They say it's very quiet there at the moment.

Not too sure if this qualifies as a weekend, but we are off on 16th Dec to Mokala National Park => Karoo National Park => Bontebok National Park => Mountain Zebra National Park => Mokala National Park. Back in Jo'burg on the 10th Jan.

Camping all the way other than a short stop in Cape Town over Christmas to visit SWAMBO's folks.

I have been there twice already, lots of trees for most of the sites, there are a few close to the fencing on the far left as you come in that doesnt have to many trees.

If you go into the camping site, go to the right as close to the pool and paving as possible, there are the most trees and the walk to ablution isnt far. also lots of paving for the kids to ride their bikes. The restaurant at the main complex makes great food

Hopefully they have the supertube open this week, its a lot of fun - just a tip here, adults will probably only go down once or twice a day, but the kiddies usually go about 20 times a day at least - you pay either per ride or per day...

Went there a few months ago and stayed in the bush camp where there wasnt power. Stayed for 5 days with the best view and best weather. enjoyed the openness of the bush camp a lot, the normal stands were all full and looked a bit cramped

Im almost boiling over with excitement, Sunday SWAMBO and I take the Companion and head to Jamaka in the Cederberg for a week.

Cant wait for the tranquility and to relax.

Off course the packing and prep are part of the fun.
