I battled most of the week to recuperate from last weekends heat. Dylan & Tyron could not wake up on Monday. Only sent them to school on Tuesday.

We had a great time at River Goose. Lovely large grassy campsites, clean ablutions. No electricity. Boats and canoes around to play on the river. We will be back.

Hi Brandon
Sleepy River has a stroompie running through it and the ablutions thats it. I pass it recently and still looks good. I can't comment on the security aspect.
Malonjeni has game on the grounds with sheep and boerbokke for the kiddies and swimmingpool I think.

We ended up not camping, but spent the day a Spieonkop Dam yesterday. A bit of skiing in the berg, lekker braaivleis and top class laughs with mates.

I'm telling you guys, South Africa is going to hell, I'm emigrating to Australia!

Going to De Drinken Plaas near Mooreesburg this weekend. Good thing it is next to a river as the weather starts off at 31 max on Friday and ends with 36 max on Sunday . Looking forward to Easter weekend - once again at Jamaka in the Cederberg and then a 5 day West coast trip to Gifberg the end of April. You only need to take one day's leave (30 April) to give you 5 days/ 4 nights (27 April to 1 May) .

Did anybody try Sondela's bush camp? Excellent!! No electricity, no pool, no putt-putt, no plastic scooters. Just you and nature. Enjoy an open air shower powered by a "donkey". Only five stands, so go in a group. Very peaceful and quite. Just the thing for the nature lover!!

Im camping at Buffelspoort this weekend. Will go and do Breeds Nek for the 1st time in a vehicle, have already done it a few times on the F800GS.
