We were there about 6 years ago and then I wasn't too impressed. We usually do small, rugged camp sites and Beaverlac is big. And you couldn't walk barefoot with all the thorns. It was never high on our to-do list.

This time around I was pleasantly surprised. It may be due to restrictions that they are only half full, but there were plenty space. They are also very serious about the no music/ no noise after 22:00 rule which is great. Facilities are super clean and the rock pools are great (always was). You're going to have to look hard to find fault.

Just a heads up, but I would not attempt getting there (or rather back out) in anything front wheel drive. The road back out is steep, loose and rutted and front wheel drive vehicles really struggled up. In fact, I just took it easy in low range 2nd/ 3rd towing the van.

66 captured, but they don't know how many actually escaped.
1.2 meter krok is pretty harmless. En statisties, dat jy een van die 10 oorblywenes gaan raakloop op jou kamp naweek, is ook nul.

Just my report back of khomeesdrif.
Definitely a nice camp very relaxed.
I would say too much plots for the ablutions so that will be my only neg.
But if you come prepared like me there was no need to visit ablutions once.
