Part of covid rules I'm sure, they clean before you arrive and again after you leave.
It was the same at Kyleu in Dinokeng when we went there 3 weeks ago, they still cleaned the braai and dustban every day, but didn't clean the private ablution to minimize contact. I agree that this is a bit weird if it's a place with a shared ablution, with a shared ablution you would expect more cleaning than during normal times.

    Yes.
    Lovely place, lovely people.
Try to park as close as allowed to the waterhole. If in a group do halfmoon amongst the trees.
Also cabins for your non-camping friends/relatives.

Our camp site at the River Camp Ribbokkloof. They had a massive fire a few days before we got there. The camp site grass wasn't burnt so it wasn't a problem in camp. The site is nice with rustic ablutions and a lapa are clean and work. The 4x4 trail isn't hectic and nice for newbies to have a drive around. Click image for larger version.

Was at De Voetpadkloof. Realy enjoyed the powered Bush camp.
Pity about the amount of day visitors they let in, with the lack of space around the pools

Brilliant 4 days at Booyzynskraal! Very peaceful only one other camper at the river site. Did the 4x4 trail led by Jan on his tractor! Quite rough in places but the Scorpio is like a mountain goat and had no problems. Rocky with lots of loose patches. Plenty of birds, saw some game and lovely river setting. On top of the mountain did not seem to be any campers at all. Ablutions with donkey were good. Saw plenty baboons but they are not a problem. Will definitely go back and take the inflatable boat for some river paddling. Borehole water tastes good.

I'm going to Ezemvelo just outside of Dronkwordspruit . Never been there, hopefully its a nice place to be and the weather plays along.

Need to go test some of the latest mods to my trailer...
I have just got back from the Karoo National Park. Camp site is lovely. Ablutions very good, kitchen with freezer, microwave and stove top. Enough shade if you have an awning, and the rugged and in its own way very beautiful Karoo. Kudos to Parks Board for their consistent excellence. The pool is shut due to covid, so be prepared to take cold showers in the heat. Highly recommend it as an easy access trip
