    Default Telescope

We met a Frenchman and his wife in the Kruger who took extraordinary photos using a digital camera through a telescope on tripod. Couldn't really understand too much of his English, but it seems he made some sort of an adaptor to fix the camera to the telescope.
OK, ok, I know this is not a photographic forum, but maybe somebody has done something similar, or maybe there are suppliers who has already adapted telescopes to take a digital camera?

There are a large number of adapters on the market which can do this for you, but check out this link

The problem with most digital cameras is the fact that keeping the shutter open for more than a few seconds (10 - 20) means the image becomes terribly noisy. Some people have had good results though, but the accepted norm is to use a film camera and scan the tranny or neg.
