Thumbs up Was at LRX Paarl

    Hi All,

Attended LRX Paarl / Offroad Experience this past weekend to do the Level 1 course and it was quite lekker.

Arrived there just before nine and nearly got lost on the way to the Lapa, the little road there is definately rough going for road cars, but the ADT Bantam behind me showed what those little cars are made of.

Had some lekker coffee and then a theory class (thankfully brief) that lasted till about 11:30 - 12:00 split by a coffee break.

Then we went out and did the loop which is very easy but enough to get the blood flowing.

Following that we went onto the play area which was a muddy mess from all the rain.

There we did driving on a slippery slant, a couple of traversals through very deep and muddy ruts and then a hill decent, ascent and reverse stall on a concreted incline.

Finally a short drive back through a shallow stream that serves to wash off the worst mud from the tyres and a potjie at the
    Lapa.

Was hitting the road back to Tableview well before 3 , so not too long a day.

Was a nice experience and with the special they are running also cheap.

Attached two photos taken at the play area, unfortunately I forgot my camera so the cellphone had to make due.

You can see all the mud around, I had to recover the defender with the roofrack a little later when it got stuck in the mud up to the axles and a back and front wheel found a rut each on a second run just below from where this picture was taken.

I must think hard now, but I think it was R500-00 for me, and R150-00 for my wife, she was sitting in the lecture and was passenger in the vehicle.
