    Angry influencing public opinion

Let me start by saying I stopped reading the comments on most current affairs / news sites and forums due to absolutely everything being politicised, I stopped reading a certain rugby forum because of the stupid provintialism and racism.

I waited a few hours before writing this because I am concerned and wanted to collect my thoughts, I am of the opinion that certain topics and threads are started and extra inflammatory to run down brands and influence public opinion.

Maybe trolls are a part of internet life and hopefully the members here are not that easily influenced but it still cheeses me off and irritates me.

The forum needs a bit of banter and light hearted brand teasing and also needs to be a place where people can express their experiences so as to benefit from it.

I don't have a solution as the messages I a referring to don't seem to break the TOS so all I can say is:

DON'T FEED THE TROLLS, LEAVE THEIR THREADS WITHOUT A SINGLE REPLY.

I have to say, Brian, that I haven't noticed much of what you allude to going on here. There are one or two determinedly contrary people here, but I haven't seen much genuine trolling, nor politicising of topics. Maybe you've been just a bit too careful about being non-specific, or I simply haven't followed the threads that have upset you.
