Dewildt in STD Jeep GC WJ

Hi,
My Bro-in-law wants to try Dewildt 4x4 sometime, he has a Nissan Hardbody DC 3.3 V6 4x4 & I will be taking my dads Jeep GC 4.7 V8 WJ..
Will the Jeep cope with the trail??
So far I have only done Groenkloof 4x4 in the Jeep & that was easy peasy..

Not done it Andrew, but i can tell you this - a std WJ will go where the Hardbody cant. All jokes aside they are brilliant offroad.

I do know another member took his limited WJ on DeWildt and posted a vid of Gert se Klip which he did, as you put it, easy peasy.

The nice thing with the Jeep is that you can do obstacles slowly, so do not get pulled into the bakkie Brigades floor it mentality and you will be fine.

In the Hummer it feels like a tar road with a few potholes

When we did Groenkloof, I idled up the hill in the Jeep & he had to put foot to get up (his Diff lock was not working at that stage as well) It was so funny, he was wheel spinning all over the place.. & then here I come, and no wheel spin or anything

De wildt is rather easy, I did it with a Terrano on HT tyres, and not a single place where the belly scraped, even idled out gert se klip !

I would say, if you dont stop much, probably 2-3 hours, but if you like me, and usually in a convoy, and stopping a lot to check other people out, and have lotsa beers, 5 hours !!! 8)

Did the trail yesterday & it was awesome... Took us like 5 hours as we took it wasy, watched others as well & did a few things a few times so we could get pics & vidoes
