    Look at the lower mandible...pale. CV Titbabbler has an all dark bill.

    They can be quite non-descript and not show the neck markings but the pale eye is always a good feature.

    My 3.2 did Pajero was serviced 4000km ago and the Caltex Delo oil is still relatively clear (not dark black).

    An African would not have a plain mantle/back like this bird and would also have a different GISS (general impression of shape and size).

    Agree with others, Bar-tailed Godwit.

    The pink base to the long upturned bill is also distinctive when separating from other waders (not other Godwits).
