Re: You never know what's out there

Thank you, Keith. A reminder of what life should be like in these weird times. My bet is a porcupine in that hole.

It took a couple of years for my eyes to stop misting up when I looked at...

Re: Rattles on a 2018 GV

Check the upper mounting for the seat belt on the B pillar. Often moving that back and forth helps.

Re: You never know what's out there

    Strongs, Keith.

Ten years is too little even for a large breed dog. But I am sure she would not have traded especially the freedom of Port Nolloth for a longer but less interesting life...

Re: You never know what's out there

Keith, are you totally incarcerated out there on the West Coast? Perhaps you have taken the opportunity to change the oil on Jaeger Defender? I think there are others like me who would like some...

Re: Jimny Auto 2020 duine traction control

I don't think you will have a problem. Suzuki's are generally pretty good in sand and I am sure the management systems in the new Jimny are based on, and represent an improvement on the past.

    Not...

    Re: grand vitara parcel shelf

I'm not sure what you mean by a parcel shelf. The bit that fits over the cargo area behind the back seat?

If you Google "grand vitara parcel shelf" you may find what you want on a site in europe...

  10. Re: Namibia border closed for leasure travel ??? Help needed

Under the "first confirmed case ... " thread in this Nam section is a post giving details of their ban.

So I think it is genuine news.
  11. Re: first confirmed corona cases, travel ban in effect.

I have never been under house arrest, so I can't say. But I imagine if the police come by and you are not there you would be in deep, deep ####.

Of course, the other interpretation is that the...

Re: You never know what's out there

Time for an update on life on the West Coast, Keith?

Back here in the big world we are swamped with Corona virus news, and the subsequent fall out on world financial markets. We need reminding...

Re: Zululand Members Day Trip Sunday 1/03/2020

Wonderfully interesting day even though the route was not quite as planned due to thick mud on some steep parts of the route.

Many thanks to Riaan and Marais for managing the convoy. Riaan is...
  15. Re: 2018 Grand Vitara. Buying one and I have some questions.

Unlikely that a lift is factory fitted. Suzuki SA did allow some dealerships outside Gauteng to do pre delivery lifts with the Wizerd spacers. These are very easy to see at the top of the rear coils...

Peter, It is said that it is always darkest before dawn? You do have wonderful memories you can cherish, I am sure.
  17. Re: 2018 Grand Vitara. Buying one and I have some questions.

If you look at MikeP's thread in this section (currently just below yours), you will see what can be done with a GV. No problems or drama.

Mine is a manual Summit - one of the very last with leather seats. Also get about 10,5l/100 around town and a tad under 10 if its open road but I drive gently and stick to about 110kmh. If you are...

Eish! Now imagine reinflating your tyres after every patch of sand with a manual pump. Surely they could have just driven on slowly with the deflated tyres?

You don't think the decrease in adaptors is due to drought conditions reducing the amount of prey - small mammals etc?
