    No money at Atm's , massive queues for fuel if available (very few fuel stations had fuel), it was illegal to use anything but local currency to buy at shops and no credit card...

    Go to Rooiputs it is great. Don't bust a gut if somebody decides to use the toilet it is really not a big deal. The toilets are away from the camp site so it is not really intrusive unless you want...

    Yes you need a 4x4 where I go. No you don't need a 4x4 for overlanding in most instances. The difference is I stay away from towns and people.
