    Re: Covid and Namibia

Thanks, that is what I am hoping.

I looked at the Gobabis route but the extra distance will probably mean a night stop along the way, we all have caravans. It is carry over trip from last year,...

    Re: Covid and Namibia

Hi, does anyone possibly have a map of this area, please? (Windhoek-Okahandja-Rehoboth Local Authority Areas)

This area was given as a no-go area for tourists until at least the end of June, by...

Closer to Lobatse, is Phuduhudu Safari Camp (was a bit tired last time I was there), and Chasmiru.

There is also Elma's in Kenhardt, I have not stayed there and don't know how close the campsite is to the main road.

Unfortunately this is another thread about bad behavior, it seems to have suddenly mushroomed!

Friends of mine have just got back from Mabua, and there it was the same shocking behavior. People...

Lion Park Resort is also a possibility during the week, but a BIG NO over the weekend.

Re: Kgalagadi - Bots and Sa

Different opinion, it depends on the roads on SA side, it is possible but it won’t be a fun day. You seem to have a reasonably long trip, try and get one of the Matopi campsites and have a break...

    Re: december trip

I am with Pat on this, 2 nights at Khama is probably enough and I would only do one night at Elephant Sands and one at Woodlands. Goo-Moremi could possibly have another night, if you have nights to...

    Re: Ewiks caravan mover

Dwayne, I fitted Ewiks to my Sundowner in May last year, it is a relatively simple job. Mine was the first Sundowner to be done by Ewiks, so there was initially some backwards and forwards getting...

You definitely need the PCR test and you will be given the rapid test at no cost. The debatable part is whether you need a paper copy or a PDF on your phone is acceptable, seems to depend on the...

    Kgalagadi behaviour

We have recently returned from a very enjoyable 3 weeks in Kgalagadi, on both the SA and Bots sides; please tell me if I am a grumpy, old man or if I do have reason to be grumpy?

    Re: Lobatse area Accommodation

Chasmiru or Phuduhudu. Phuduhudu is slightly closer to Ramatlabama but was rather “tired” when I was last there about 18 months ago. We will probably use Chasmiru if we can travel in August.

Re: Camps in Palapye. Any recommendations?

It is quite a noisy campsite, especially over the weekend.
If you have the time Goo-Moremi is a better bet but a long drive in and out.

    Re: Moon River Bush Camp

Yes, shade can be a problem. It was fairly hot when we were there but enough of a breeze to make it bearable. They are also helped by the fact that they are at about 1000m, Mount Cedar and Algeria...

I think Langkloof is great if you want to chill, but if you want to explore the Park then Perdekloof is probably a better option.

    Near Mafikeng you can look at;

Mafikeng Game Reserve, but slightly out of the way,
Or across the border, Phuduhudu campsite or Chasmiru,...
