  1. Re: Overlanding In Southern Africa With A Suzuki Samurai

You will be importing it from the USA? Then I assume they would be left hand drive, while all the countries you plan to visit are RHD. Adding some more pain to your trip.....
  2. Re: What happens if there is a fire in the campsite area?

We were in the CKGR in 2017, and from the first evening we saw fires in the distance. The grass was very dry but there was not much wind. As we moved from campsite to campsite, we saw the fire every...

    Re: Gypsy dual battery system

Hi, under the bonnet you need a starter battery, and the 2nd battery would normally be a deep cycle battery, so I don't think you can fit 2 identical batteries.

Re: Lo and behold.... another diy caravan.

There are some that tilt say about 45 deg, and some that drop down but stay level. I'm not sure what you are looking for?

The problem is: I have some very good CTEK chargers, but they are all 12V. I don't have access to a decent 24V smart charger.

Re: Mounting solar panels on or in an alu canopy

I also made my own slider (like those used for tables) to slide the panel underneath the roof rack. Works perfectly and utilises otherwise wasted space.

Hi Sylvia, even if you are not staying at Khama Rhino, if you drive past them you can just pop in quickly - the office is next to the main road and you can buy wood and continue on your way.
