Ford & Mazda Re: Another 2.2 engine popped

To me it looks like the oily coating and the depth of the different pistons might play tricks with ones eyes. Its a dish with a dome inside it.
  2. Re: 2nd Hand Vehicle for Towing recommendation

The Gauteng and Mphumalanga speedcops probably know as much as I do about the towing capacity of a Ranger. This friend is driving like this for about 20 years. First 2,5 WLT Ranger, 3.0 Isuzu, and...

    Thanks Uncle Fluffy.
  5. Re: 2nd Hand Vehicle for Towing recommendation

I have a friend that farms with horses. He pulls his 4 birth horsebox, plus a foal in die centre, with a 2.2 T6 Ranger. He is on his 2nd or 3rd 2.2 so the power and torque should be enough.

    Re: Lithium and trickle charger...?

Can you perhaps explain why the charger needs to be in supply mode when camping with main power?
  7. Re: Tool for lifting and aligning spare wheel - will it sell?

    Great idea.
To me it will be a waste since I believe its a similar effort to lifting the wheel with your hands and fitting it over the wheel studs.

    Re: Lithium and trickle charger...?

I only know about cell phone Li-Ion batteries and what I read on the internet. The simplest way to sort a Lithium battery out, is to disconnect it from the charger when its full. Do yourself a favour...

Re: Black liquid from exhaust - brand new hilux

I have actually never made a study of this, since at startup I'm behind the steering and not behind the exhaust.[emoji23]

Re: Black liquid from exhaust - brand new hilux

It must be the moisture/condensation from the moisture in the air plus soot from the coal burner.
If you don't want black fluid, sell it, buy a petrol and get dark brown fluid.

    Re: Why We Drive Nissan

My first vehicle was a 1400 Datsun and I rolled it ...... and still drove 1600km back home. I really loved that mellow yellow bakie. A 10mm, a 12mm, a pliers, a piece of binding wire and you are...

Re: Free wheel hubs - or not ?

Orals om ons kan ons sien omtrent alle ontwikkeling gaan oor gemak. Die moeite om uit te klim in die koue of nat of modder om die hubs te sluit.

    Re: Rated recovery points?

It will be better to remove one bolt to physically measure the diameter of it since the shear strength is directly related to the diameter and the material (grade) its made of.
