Re: New trailer - new fridge

Tying down is recommended, a simple ratchet type tie down from carrying handles downwards is OK. Fridges do not like to do the hop. I use 13mm bungie cord doubled up from handles to the sides of the...

Re: New trailer - new fridge

Depends on what the slide will allow and space. If at all possible keep the jacket. I even add 15mm polystyrene sheeting between the jackets and fridge surfaces. Ensures a tight fit and helps a lot...

    Sticky: Re: Electrickery for camping

Most double electric blankets draw less than 150W at full setting. Go verify at a shop, the wattage is on the label. So a good quality inverter 300W continuous supply or more should work. But if...
  14. Re: Travel from Durban to Lusaka during lockdown

Cannot disagree, but it's a toss up between time and frustration. Yes the Lephalale route is less of such a risk but does take longer

  22. Re: Off-road ride quality: Vehicle vibrates on gravel

The only advice I have is to drop the tyre pressure to below 2Bar on gravel. Those tyres and the low weight of your vehicle will be happy as low as 1.6Bar. Have a pump in the kit.
  23. Re: Travel from Durban to Lusaka during lockdown

Its quicker to go along N1, turn off to Mokopane, then N11 to Groblersbrug - (aka Martin's Drift)

Avoid driving at night, lots of stray animals on N11
  24. Re: Solar and Alternator Charge at the same time

They do not "see" each other, only sense battery voltage and current will flow accordingly. Leave as is
  25. Re: Does anyone know where I can find Gazebo spares?
