I wonder if anybody can help with ideas for a trip.

SWAMBO is turning 50 in about 18 months and I would like to do something special.

We would like to travel, but it needs to be on a budget....

  7. Re: Shortterm insurance, 3rd party claims

Okay, got an answer from the insurer.

Not what I want to hear but probably correct via the lawyers....

    Exactly.
My broker agrees with me, but the legal department of Insurer AB doesn't seem to like it.
  9. Shortterm insurance, 3rd party claims

Maybe somebody has been in a similar situation or better still understands the working of the system.

    Scenario:
Client A is insured with Comp A for 3rd party, fire and theft.
    Client B is insured...

    Taking over payments on financing?

Not sure about the legality, but I do understand that it's frowned on.

    Re: Tent for overlanding

What I want from an overlanding tent is ease of putting up, so I got the RV3 and it works like a charm.
Problem is that it's quite large folded up and needs to be fixed on the rooftop.

    I just saw...

Re: Prado - Is it a cool 4x4?

More than capable 4x4 and as DIY the petrol 4.0l is easy as pie, the diesel 3.0VX is not as nice and easy to service in my opinion.
Maybe it's just that jucky diesel oil or the fact that I do the...

Re: Prado - Is it a cool 4x4?

Not sure what the drivers of the diesel or the petrol did, but that seems very far off.
That would equate to the petrol being more than double the consumption use than the diesel.....no way.

    I...
