    That’s the funny about Landys..... you never park facing downhill because there’s no seal on the gearbox input shaft and it can puke into your bell housing......

    Shims are at the top of the steering box -above the fill plug
    Any gaskets or sealer will add thickness to the shim pack

    I always fit a temperature & oil pressure gauge (mechanical preferably) on a new engine...... just a temporary mount to monitor the engine for the first 1000 Kay’s....
