Re: To sell or not to sell - Jeep

I have to say, that except for fuel consumption my TJ has been the most reliable 4x4 I have had up to date.

The Defender was well um not that reliable [emoji39]

    The Triton couldn't handle the...

Re: To sell or not to sell - Jeep

Had a Triton bakkie, that I could trade on my 2006 Wrangler TJ.
I then bought a light on fuel platkar for the daily.

    Benefit was I immediately had...

Re: To sell or not to sell - Jeep

Owning a wrangler will always be a heart and not a head decision. ;D

One thing to take into account is that your Jeep has reached a point where the depreciation is mostly finished and should keep...

Re: Buying advise on an Amarok

    Not yet ;D

Will have to figure out a name, my old triton was the original softroadertjie, it doesn't fit to well with my TJ.

After a trail or two I should figure it out.

Only thing I didn't pick up during the test drive was some scratches on the B pillar inside, but the rest is in good nick.

    Re: Older Wrangler reliability.

Reliability wise my current TJ has been awesome.

It is only used as a toy on trails, so gets used pretty hard.

Only work that has been done on it, other than mods and services was the autobox,...

If the OP plans on doing long distances I would get the JK, it is loads more comfortable than a TJ.

    This looks like a bargain.

That Kit had to be way more than R100k, probably more like R150k.

    Buying advise on an Amarok

    Hi Guys,

I am looking at buying an Amarok and would appreciate some information.

Vehicle is a 2015 Auto 4motion Highline with around 70k km on the clock.
    Price is around R390k.

    Is the price...
  25. RangeRover Re: Looking to buy 2009 Range Rover Sport 3.6 v8 diesel

I have done around 8k km in my TJ Jeep, in around 3 years more or less.[emoji4]

So for a toy/ weekend car it is possible.

That will be the cheapest option, I assume they will then have to drop the protection plate as well?

For a daily driver it shouldn't be an issue.

Perhaps take it to TWT, they have a 4x4 shop as well and can check out your setup.

    Re: Jeep Wrangler TJ

What do you plan to do with the TJ?

If it is going to be used as a toy I would not go with smaller tyres.
On 31" tyres I reckon 4.10 diff ratios should do the trick.
