    I shortened the rods myself to give a 30mm lift. The rub only when you turn full lock.

    I had my D3 V8 decatted in 2011, no issues and no lights on the dashboard.

    Then in2013 fitted a full freeflow system from Viper. The sound is amazing.

    I do however have a DC surge arrestor for each of the 2 strings of panels.

    The battery technology will catch up. There are great batteries out the but not cheap.

    In a couple years time batteries will hopefully be like USB memory stick, large capacity and dirt cheap.
