    Anyone know where I can find a Toyota dash switch(the ones that fit in the blanks) to wire to open a gate/garage - must be momentary not latching?

    All Rockford Fosgate, 6" in the doors, tweeters in the dash, 8" sub in a custom built enclosure, celing speakers deleted.
    Amp under the seat with proper power cables and harness to the head unit,...

    Yip, a lot of money for great function but little sound improvement, I was offered the Kenwood for R13k but opted for sound over function.......couldn't afford both :)

    Kenwood do a good unit but for me the sound was more important than the function so I kept the original and spent on an amp, speakers and deadening.

    The poster you are referring to drives a swb, undoubtedly better than FJ on serious trails ....when it come to the Unlimited the FJ is mostly better - stock vs stock.

    I thought as much as I never had issues with them before, there is no steering wheel vibration so if it's balancing it must be rear, imo it feels like an out of round tyre which I have had before.

    Go and drive them all back to back and you will be better armed for a decision.....I would look at the 2.2 and 2.4 Ford and Toyota, the Everest has a better ride but the Fortuner the better drive...

    Standard 265/70, I used to run at 2.0 on my Hilux so I will try that for a while, methinks 2.4 is too hard but I did that for the long trip.

    I went against my own advice and fitted BFG's (the swop out deal was too good to pass up) ;D
    The problem is that I can't seem to find the right pressure, I had them at 2.4 but so many conflicting...

    I did a trip up to Kosi on the long weekend, same speeds but included about 70kms of mild sand tracks in 4H - used the cruise control mostly and got exactly 800kms on 100l used so 12.5 or 8/l....
