  1. Re: How to book a mokoro trip at Mboma boat station?

Made a coffee stop at the boat station 2 weeks ago. They were operating and also didn't look like bookings were needed. The guys were very eager to show us their boats and mokoros.

    Re: Route Advice-Maun to CKGR

We just came back from our trip. The Rakops/Matswere route was a mess with deep ruts and dust in the beginning and then deep sand. We followed the advise of the staff at Matswere Gate and drove north...

  4. Re: Lesholoago pan Mabuasehube Water at campsite?

The camps are opposite sides of the pan. We liked site 1 a lot but it might be a bit too small for 12. Site 2 is a very big site with nice views over the nearby waterhole and the pan.
  5. Re: Lesholoago pan Mabuasehube Water at campsite?

Lesho 2 had a tap with water that you could fill your shower up with when we were there in May. Beware that the animals tend to come and drink the water that get trapped at the shower area. Campers...

Let the sand be deep, and your tires soft, and your gear ratio low…and even if you are willing to give an arm and a leg, don’t feed the lions. — Lemmy of Motorhead

Stayed in Boso 2 for two night a few weeks back. Only a jackal and a brown hyena (that just walked through on a mission). We did see big lion tracks in the camp when we arrived there.

Just wondering - Why all the work for only 50 litres more fuel that pushes your range by another 250 odd km's? Do you not have space to add a bigger second tank?

Price was just too much for me so I did a 180 and went back to old lead acid 102Ah. Just came back from a two week trip to the Kalahari and no problems at all for a third of the price.

Let me say "I hear you Stan". Your theme is habituation of the animals and high volume will achieve this. Are we sitting on a time bomb in Mabua/ Fully agree. We already had one incident at Matopi.

    1. Is there currently a restriction on taking meat from SA to Bots?

    2. What are the meat buying options when crossing at McCarthy's Rest to Mabua?
