    Re: Riemvasmaak

    Yup - bush camp.
We stayed at Augrabies NP in late 2018 and used that as base to explore around including Riemvasmaak.
Scenery is amazing, the locals are "interesting" - I just love the unique way...

    Re: Public road through Shamwari

Yes, you go from Kenton on Sea via the Woody Cape Nature area which I think now forms part of the greater Addo Elephant Park, then through Shamwari and on to the Addo park.
    A good drive and scenic....

    Caravan suspension Mod.

As some of you may know I have purchased an old (new) Jurgens Slipstream Siesta Pop Up Van and was wondering if any of our members are familiar with this vehicle.

    I am considering replacing the...
  7. Re: Alternative to RTT, Ground tent, Camping set up?

    Decision made.
I have purchased the Slipstream pop up caravan which will be modified somewhat.
This seems the best option within our budget and will enable us to do some less challenging and...

Re: White deposit on negative terminal?

This is a very old thread that has somehow been revitalized.

However, whatever the cause, I have discovered that a little Coke poured over the terminal clears it quickly, rinse with some window...

Re: Dry mechanisms and other sun damage

    Dust is also a bugger.
Some years back I was stuck alongside a very good gravel road in Eastern Namibia, north of Mata Mata and had to take the tappet cover off with the locals speeding past at 100...

Re: Hands on the steering wheel Warning

My old girl has a hand off wheel warning. When you're upside down next to the road your hands may have been off the wheel.

Re: How much 4x4 with an offroad-caravan?

I still believe that 16" size is a happy medium.
