Re: Landcruiser 4.0 D/C vs Hilux 2.8GD6 Dakar

By the man, that feeling of being behind the wheel of a Cruiser is great, you feel invincible and the mechanical clonk when selecting 4wd is something I miss. Damn ;D

Re: Landcruiser 4.0 D/C vs Hilux 2.8GD6 Dakar

A Cruiser seems to need many many modifications to make it nice or even livable with, things like suspension, 5th gear modifications, wheel spacers, sound proofing, radio/ speakers, consoles, seat...

Re: Spare wheel braai grid.. Who uses it?

If I had to make any modifications, I'd put stainless upright on the solid piece between the other sections and a perhaps a ridge on the edge of that section so it would keep cooking oil for frying

Re: Spare wheel braai grid.. Who uses it?

My grid I had made, been used very often sometimes if we in one spot it never leaves the fire from breakfast to supper to kettle duty, no real warping, I made it a bit heavier out of 3mm stainless.

    Re: Toyota Fortuner Brake Pads

Power brake discs and pad kit in front is worth it, rear probably not so much.

Ive used Safeline in my prado for many a happy mile, but I'll probably go powerbrake in front when discs are shot.

Re: Rust on rear axle after 2 weeks ownership

    Re: Toyota Resale Value

Well there's a crowd asking R2.3M for a 300 series Cruiser that has 1500km on it, they also not a Toyota dealer so it's technically 2nd hand not even a demo? that's about R500 000 more than Toyota...

  19. Re: Anyone got experience with the budget brand tyre... ROYAL BLACK...

  20. Re: 2018 XLT 3,2 4x4 DCab, Resistance to move(reverse) when standing for long periods

My wife's car goes into park when switching off, and handbrake automatically activates if I open the door, suppose I'd better let mercedes know their engineers got it wrong.
  21. Re: Land Cruiser double cab accessories to sell

Probably like the factory set of Wrangler mags I had, the stuff guys take off as soon as they get their cars are not easy to sell.
