    To me cost was immaterial. Just the pleasure not to be dependant on Eskom is payment enough.

    Built off grid system piecemeal. Just now adding four 300w panels and second MPPT.

    People tend to forget that rural EL is much more expensive than urban EL.

    Just running a rural house on Landrate 4 was for me R1200/m (4yrs ago) before consumption

    Many people believe that when inverter draws fom the grid to supplement the panels, it is grid tied.

    It is tied to the grid, ie connected to it, but has no interactive relationship with the grid....

    So I am so busy with my Rocky, wife's Rocky is not attended to as I should.

    Did tyre rotate on hers approx 5 000km ago. Checked discs and pad thickness. Saw no issues and expected pads to hold up...

    I have done it in my plat bakkie.

    Some deflation for softer ride and if struggle up Elands Pass, some rocks on the back against tailgate.
